Donald E. White Named Chief Executive Officer of Richard White Sons

Firm Announces Board and Officer Changes as Part of Planned Leadership Transition
 
(Newton, MA – June 8, 2008) Richard White Sons, Inc., a prominent New England construction management and general contracting firm, announced the appointment of Donald E. White as President and Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Kevin T. Hines, who was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors. Edmond H. White, Jr. was named Chairman Emeritus.

The appointments are part of the Newton-based company’s planned leadership succession initiative. “I am very enthused about the new role, and about the future growth and advancement opportunities for our firm,” said Donald White.
“Our strong business outlook, and the dedication of our talented group of building professionals, demonstrates to me that our best years are yet to come.”

As CEO, White will assume responsibility for leading both day-to-day and long-term operations. He joined the company in 1976,

and held a variety of project delivery, client service and management positions prior to being named President in 1988. Kevin Hines joined Richard White Sons in 1970, and worked his way up through the company ranks to Chief Executive Officer in 1995. He will continue a leadership role with Richard White Sons, working closely with the firm’s institutional, cultural and corporate clients. “Kevin is one of our industry’s most respected individuals,” said Donald White. “We are thrilled that he wants to continue to do what Kevin has always done, which is to provide his exceptional level of personal service and satisfaction to our clients.”
