After a
blessing was delivered by Fr. Arens,
Headmaster Bill Burke and Board
President David Gately '73 addressed the
assembled crowd on the significance of
the project to the athletics department
and offered gratitude for the efforts of
those who brought the undertaking to
fruition.
The
project will see the creation of
additional field space with a new
natural grass field for football and
lacrosse. Once completed the current
soccer/lacrosse field and
football/lacrosse field will be
converted into new FieldTurf® fields
which will have the performance and
appearance of natural grass but will be
unaffected by weather, require minimal
maintenance, and be able to withstand
very heavy use. |
