(Auburndale, MA – 9 November
2004) Signifying the start of construction on the
Arsenal Center for the Arts, groundbreaking
ceremonies took place at the Arsenal in
Watertown, Mass.
The culmination of years of efforts and
fund-raising have brought them to the Watertown
Arsenal. The Arsenal has been redeveloped
into affordable commercial real estate after
manufacturing America’s armaments for nearly 200
years.
Richard White Sons has been chosen as the
Contractor to perform the build-out of a
30,100sf, steel framed, High Bay space. The
vacant building will be transformed into 3 levels of
classrooms, offices, a studio and public spaces,
with 2 theatres - a 380 seat main auditorium
with a full stage and a 125 person Black Box
theatre.
Occupancy is scheduled for May
2005. |
