The Center for Scientific Innovation and Inquiry (CSII) will feature spaces for Teaching and Research laboratories with support spaces, offices, classrooms, common spaces, a greenhouse, and a vivarium. The CSII includes approximately 73,000 sq. ft. of new construction, and 22,000 sq. ft. of renovations within the existing Science Center’s first floor.
 

To prepare the site for construction, relocation of intra-campus utility lines within the new building's footprint will occur. The new building will occupy a sloping site with the first floor level connecting to the existing building with a green roof.

The Owner has chosen to construct the building with the goal of achieving LEED Silver Certification.
