Boston College, Higgins Green

Chestnut Hill, MA

This one-acre sitescape project connects Higgins, Devlin, Fulton, and Cushing Halls and has transformed Higgins Green into an oasis that serves as an outdoor focus for student life. In order to accommodate the final design, extensive underground utility work including installation and relocation of water, sewer, drainage, steam, and electrical lines was completed.

All underground utility infrastructure work was self-performed by Richard White Sons. The project features red brick and granite pedestrian walkways, granite curbing, new site lighting, a gracefully curved granite seating wall, small gathering areas, and an expansive lawn with specimen trees and plantings.
