Corporate Safety Program

For the many years that Richard White Sons has engaged in construction, great pride has been taken in a continuing concern for the safety and health of our employees.  Our major objective is to provide a safe workplace for every individual working for the company, as well as all subcontractors, suppliers and customers so that they can all go home safely each day.

Richard White Sons is committed to provide employees with a place of employment that is free from recognized hazards. It is mandatory that every person employed by Richard White Sons, Inc., be continually aware of this commitment to safety.

All employees are trained annually on a continuous basis through monthly staff meetings, superintendent meetings and foremen meetings by our Corporate Safety Director who is an authorized OSHA Construction Safety Outreach Trainer.

Our safety objective, commitment and training are built on the concept that all injuries and accidents are preventable and that preventing workers from getting hurt or from causing damage is the single most effective way to maintaining an excellent safety program. Richard White Sons has been successful in meeting our objective and commitment to safety as evidenced by our current Experience Modification Rate of 0.79.

To maintain this program objective and commitment, Richard White Sons has implemented a Safety & Compliance Manual which is enforced at each jobsite. This manual is constantly being updated as OSHA and EPA/DEP standards and construction industry best practices are developed and implemented. Richard White Sons maintains cognizant of these updates and best practices through its active membership in the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts Committees, Associated Society of Safety Engineers, and OSHA Eastern Massachusetts Safety Alliance.
