Richard White is Green
As a company, Richard White Sons is committed to implementing sustainable construction techniques and strategies. We have embraced and supported the LEED initiative both internally and on a multitude of projects over the past decade. Our commitment stems from a belief that impressionable environmental change is possible through the application of a LEED-like philosophy. As in life, the more thought and care that is applied the better the end result that is derived. At Richard Whites Sons our commitment to sustainability starts from the top down; Donald White, President and CEO was one of the first members of our corporate family to earn their LEED accreditation from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Our staff’s LEED accreditation goes beyond the operations department and extends into the safety, project management, engineering, superintendent, and estimating departments. This diverse view of certified professionals enables each project to have a 360 degree LEED perspective. This collective knowledge, as well as the lessons learned on previous LEED projects enables us to provide practical, timely, and cost effective solutions through all phases of the construction process.
We have successfully completed projects at all USGBC award levels, including LEED Platinum. Most recently, Richard White Sons completed the largest LEED Gold certified laboratory project in the Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences’ history. Every project begins with an owner’s vision and an architect’s creativity. Richard White Sons prides itself on an ability to effectively collaborate to translate that vision and goals into a successful finished project that exceeds expectations. By choosing to involve Richard White Sons in a LEED endeavor, you are choosing a collective of experts that are dedicated to surpassing your vision, LEED or otherwise.
